Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern all bookings made with Pura Vida Kenia Safaris (“we,” “our,” “us”). By confirming a booking, you (“the client,” “you,” “your”) agree to the following terms:

1. Booking & Payment

A deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your safari.
The remaining balance must be paid in full before the start of your trip, as per the payment schedule provided.
Payments can be made via bank transfer, mobile money, or other approved payment methods.

2. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellations must be made in writing via email.
Cancellation fees apply as follows (unless otherwise stated in your booking confirmation):
- 60 days or more before travel: Refund minus deposit.
- 30–59 days before travel: 50% of total cost forfeited.
- Less than 30 days before travel: 100% of total cost forfeited.
No refunds are given for unused services or portions of the trip once the safari has started.

3. Changes to Your Booking

Any changes requested after confirmation may incur additional costs.
We will do our best to accommodate changes but cannot guarantee availability.

4. Pricing & Inclusions

Prices are quoted in Kenyan Shillings (KES) or US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise stated.
Prices include the services specified in your itinerary (e.g., accommodation, transport, park fees, guide services).
Prices do not include personal expenses such as visas, travel insurance, tips, alcoholic beverages, or optional activities unless specified.

5. Travel Documents & Insurance

You are responsible for ensuring you have valid passports, visas, and any required vaccinations.
We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance covering medical expenses, trip cancellation, and personal belongings.

6. Safari Participation & Safety

You must follow the guidance of your safari guide at all times for your safety.
We are not responsible for injury, illness, loss, or damage that occurs as a result of ignoring safety instructions.

7. Force Majeure (Unforeseen Events)

We are not liable for delays, cancellations, or changes caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, political unrest, extreme weather, or transportation disruptions.

8. Liability Disclaimer

While we take every care to ensure your safety and enjoyment, Pura Vida Kenia Safaris is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or expense resulting from acts of third-party service providers, wildlife behavior, or circumstances beyond our control.

9. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Kenya. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of Kenyan courts.
